Relationships and dating

Build connection in a way that makes room for the people in it.

You may be trying to feel closer to a partner, make sense of recurring conflict, or find a way of dating that feels more like you. You don’t need to have the same goals as everyone around you to work on your relationships.

Individual support for your relationships

When differences in attention, memory, sensory needs, or communication become recurring conflicts, you may end up feeling unseen. In individual therapy, we can explore your experience, what you need, and how you want to respond.

  • Planning and household responsibilities that feel uneven
  • Conversations that escalate or shut down
  • Different needs for time together, space, stimulation, or rest
  • A diagnosis or identity change that affects the relationship
  • Differences in desire, intimacy, and sexual expectations
  • Trust, boundaries, and changes in relationship agreements

What we do together

We can work through your experience of a recent disagreement, identify where it became difficult, and practice communicating your needs more clearly. That can include preparing a conversation about responsibilities or boundaries and reflecting on what happens when you try it.

Understanding a difference does not make its impact disappear. We can take your needs seriously, consider the other person’s perspective, and explore responsibility, repair, and the changes within your control.

Dating and individual relationship work

You can work on relationships without being in one. We can explore dating fatigue, masking, boundaries, recovering from a breakup, or figuring out what kind of connection you want.

That might mean noticing when you adapt to someone before deciding whether they’re a fit, practicing a difficult conversation, or making room for being single on your own terms.

Different ways of being together

I work with individuals in monogamous, polyamorous, and open relationships. We can explore your existing agreements or work through a change you’re considering. Your relationship structure does not have to match mine or anyone else’s expectations.
