Gender-affirming therapy
Support for you, your relationships, and the people who want to understand.
You can come here to explore your gender, navigate a change, or talk about something else in your life with a therapist who takes your identity seriously. Partners and adult family members can also find individual support here.
If you’re trans or questioning
You are the authority on your own gender. Therapy can give you space to think, ask questions, and make decisions without needing to arrive at a particular answer.
- Exploring your identity and what you want to do next
- Coming out, disclosure, and deciding what feels safe
- Relationships, sex, and changes in how you experience your body
- Navigating work, family, and social expectations
- Stress, joy, uncertainty, and the rest of your life
There is no required destination. You can be certain about your identity and need support with something difficult, or you can be figuring things out.
If your partner is trans or questioning
You may want to support your partner while also having questions about attraction, intimacy, identity, or your future together. You can take those questions seriously while respecting who your partner is.
In individual sessions, we can explore your feelings, prepare for honest conversations, and think through what you need as your relationship changes.
If you’re a parent or adult family member
You may be looking for a place to ask questions, understand unfamiliar language, or work through feelings before discussing them with someone you love.
We can focus on listening, keeping communication open, handling family conversations, and becoming a more informed source of support. My approach is affirming: your family member’s identity is respected throughout the work.
These sessions are for adult family members. This practice provides therapy to adults, not children or adolescents.
What our work can look like
A session might focus on preparing a conversation, thinking through a boundary, exploring a relationship change, or making sense of how you feel. We’ll choose the focus together based on what is most useful to you.
My training
I hold a certificate in affirmative therapy for transgender communities from Widener University and am a doctoral student in human sexuality there. My eight years in the field include harm reduction and community mental health.
Letters for gender-affirming medical care
I also offer assessments and letters of support as a standalone service. Ongoing therapy is not required. Learn about the letter process.
